Big things are happening in central Ohio for youth wrestling this winter! Cardinals Elite, Stieber Elite, the Olentangy Wrestling League (OWLs), and the Orange Crush will be joining forces to create one mega-club! Former Buckeye, 4x All-American, Hodge Trophy Winner, and US National Team member Kollin Moore will serve as the club's head coach. Moore will be assisted by the the youth staffs of these clubs, including All-American Mike Fickell (Cardinals)--who'll serve as co-head coach in this first year of the merger--NCAA qualifier Bart Murphy (Cardinals), and Tyson Porter (OWLs). Still in the rebranding process, this club will eventually have one name and be run out of the Jennings Youth Sports Park at Evans Farm in Lewis Center. Plans are in the works to offer a number of year-round wrestling training opportunities--small group lessons, middle school post-season training, HS freestyle & Greco Roman training, and girls wrestling opportunities. This season's youth practices, pending the level, will be run out of Berlin, Olentangy, and Orange High School wrestling rooms, until the facilities at Evans Farm are complete. All youth wrestlers--kindergarten through sixth grade, beginners to intermediate--are welcome to join; there will be an appropriate level of training and competition for everyone at an affordable cost.
